Since leaving the museum in 1977 I have freelanced as Black Cat Studio, specializing in astronomical, science and science fiction artwork for books as well as magazines such as Astronomy and Scientific American. During this time I attended the launch of the Apollo spacecraft for the Apollo-Soyuz mission as a member of the NASA Fine Arts Program. I was responsible for planetarium show design, publications and exhibits.
